College Education Is Not Cheap - 974 Words

Do I really need college education? Most, if not all, students ask themselves this question at same point during their educational career, whether it is during middle school, high school, and sometimes even college students find themselves asking the same question. Many people pursue a college education because it might be a requirement to have a certain degree for a job position they might be interested in, some are pressured into going to college by their relatives and friends, and then there is the students that attend school simply for the college experience. But is it really worth the time and money invested? College education is not necessary because it is ridiculously expensive, time consuming, and it might not always be worth it. College education is not cheap by any means. The cost to attend a four-year college can range anywhere from 6 to over 30 thousand dollars a year. These numbers alone can be enough reason to put someone off from attending college. A good portion of students and their families are not able to afford the huge price tag that comes along with a college education. Sure there are tons of scholarships out there for people to sign up which could be of great help but chance are that they often don’t pay for everything that college requires such as books, programs, materials, etc. Often people resort to applying for student loans as means to pay for their education which might seem like a good idea at the time but a not so good one in the long run.Show MoreRelatedArthur C.
